Range of Services Performed
The range of services available is very wide and covers construction supervision, project management, materials quality control and testing, feasibility and economic studies, development of construction systems, cost estimating and control, surveys, investigations and reports, designs, drawings, specifications and tender documents, including engineering quantities.
The firm has undertaken consulting engineering work, studies, design and supervision for projects involving civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical and/or mechanical engineering. These include highways and bridges, industrial, commercial and institutional buildings, water supply and distribution, sewage and storm water drainage, dams, traffic studies, canals, flood control schemes, processing plants, cold storage, highway and street lighting, foundation engineering, air conditioning, plumbing and hydraulic and coastal engineering.
- Project Management
While technical expertise is continuously nourished by internal training, external specialist courses for key personnel and a fine technical library, great emphasis is placed on management capabilities of the senior members of the staff. It is this that ensures that the available technical skills are efficiently utilized and that the progress and cost of projects is under strong direction and control.
Microcomputer systems with appropriate software have been employed by the firm for many years in enhancing design and management capabilities. The offices currently have over thirty (30) micro computer stations, with the majority of drafting being carried out with state-of-the-art Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) technology.
